Subansiri and Siang River Valleys – tribal habitat
A fascinating Jeep Safari which starts at Guwahati with a wildlife tour of Kaziranga National Park and goes on to Subhansiri, Syiom, and Siang river valleys of Arunachal Pradesh. We visit the tribal habitat of Apatani, Nishi, Tagin, Hill Miri, and Adi tribes. We will visit ethnic villages, explore homesteads, visit tribal shamans, and peep into beliefs and culture, and see their handicrafts and incredible cane and bamboo suspension bridges. During the journey we will pass through river valleys, and marvel at the incredible variety of flora. Finally after nearly 700 Kms we will cross the great Brahmaputra River by ferry, navigating through sand bars for over 05 hours to Dibrugarh in Assam.

Day 01: Arrive Guwahati airport . Transfer to hotel. Overnight
Day 02: Early morning trip to Kamkhaya Temple and the riverfront. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Drive to Kaziranga wildlife sanctuary, 220 kms in 4.30 hrs. Overnight at Wild Grass.
 Day 03: Early morning Elephant safari. After breakfast, a jeep safari. Overnight at Wild Grass.
Day 04: Drive 368 kms in 10 hrs to Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh. Ziro is the headquarters of the Lower Subansiri District, and is located on the Apatani Plateau at elevation of 1500 m. Overnight at lodge/ hotel
Day 08: A day at a Tagin tribal village. Meet families, see their lifestyle, go hiking in the forest, or fishing in local style. Overnight in camp/village home-stay.
Day 09: Drive 215 kms in 7-8 hrs to Along. Explore the town. Overnight in hotel.
 Day 10: Drive 65 kms to an Adi tribal Village. Explore lifestyles of the Adi tribe, and participate in the song and dance. Overnight in camp/village home-stay.
Day 11: Drive to Passighat, 68 kms, in 02 hrs. Experience crossing over one of the longest cane bridges, across the Siang River. Visit more Adi tribal villages. Overnight at Guest house /camp.
Day 12: At passighat visit Mishmi tribal villages. Overnight at Guest house/camp
 Day 13: Cross the mighty Brahmaputra, by ferry in 4-6 hours. Drive 25 kms to Dibrugarh  to end our safari. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 14: Transfer to airport for final departure.
