We offer home stays at two levels
Firstly: six enchanting quality mountain homes/ family run guest houses – of these four are listed in Alastair Sawday’s Special places to stay in India. The other two are awaiting listing. All properties are located far from crowds – off the beaten track. They have atmospheric rooms, tranquility, comfort, good meals, unique ambiance well informed and caring hosts.
Secondly; four atmospheric village home stays. Of these three are in the Samthar Valley in the Kalimpong region, and one is in the Sikkimese village of Hi Barmoik. All are components of our Responsible Village tourism Project Awake and Shine. They have been created as earning modules for local families.. The visitor is offered a village home stay in separate cottages, within family holdings, or in refurbished rooms. The home stays offer first class accommodation with western style toilets in a rural ambiance, comfort, privacy, excellent service provided by caring hosts at reasonable prices.

Samthar Village Homestays
Expand your experience by staying as guests at two hamlets in the Samthar Valley. You will be hosted by Two Bhujel Nepali families at Gairi Gaon hamlet and by a Lepcha family at Kabi Village. The settings are charming, the village folks friendly, the home stays offers all the comforts, caring hospitality, interesting cusine and cultural exchange. Hi Barmoik village homestay, West Sikkim
Dhongey House is the family home of the Chhettri family. The family has converted two rooms into comfortable guest rooms with modern toilets, and refurnished a lounge and a "chang " bar. Interiors have been decorated to showcase heritage household articles used by the family for generations The house retains its farming roots - cow shed, goat house, herb garden, and hollow tree trunk honey comb.Guests are offered home cooked simple meals served in family heirloom brass utencils. Hidden Forest Retreat - A charming home-stay amidst 03 acres of forests hosted by the Lachungpa family. It is located amidst a plant nursery with a fabulous, fresh wholesome feel. On these lush acres are cow sheds and green houses, a large organic vegetable patch, for Guava, Kiwi, and oranges, bonsai trees in the tea room and lilies and orchids galore. Birds chirrup, butterflies flutter, cicadas hum, and the views reach across the valley to Rumtek Hill. The guest accommodation is built into the terraced hillside, on split levels.
