04 Days escapade to North Sikkim
Escape to the pristine charms of North Sikkim. Travel by jeep and do some walking Explore the Yumthang and Rongyong Chhu river valleys, exquisite flora, yak grazing grounds, Buddhist gompas, and unforgettable views of the great peaks. Stay with a cultured English speaking sikkimese family to get intimate peep into local tribal culture. Maximum altitude 4000 m.
Day 01: Drive 03 hrs to Mangan, 1420 m in North Sikkim for home stay or Tourist Lodge. Day 02: Mangan- day trip to Lachung and Yumthang Valley, 3500 meters
Day 03: Mangan- day trip to Rongyong Chhu Valley.
Day 04: Drive 03 hrs to Gangtok, 1547 meters. Enroute Phudong and Labrang Monastery.

Sikkim alone has over 30 established monasteries and gompas – the oldest dates back to 1697. The non-intrusive and benign influences of Buddhism have resulted in a harmonious and happy society in which all ethnic and religious groups are proud of their heritage. We travel by jeep walking up to hill top Gompas and monasteries discovering all the main monasteries in Sikkim, and Kalimpong. Overnights in standard hotels and family lodges

Day 04: Samthar Farm House. Full day village exploration walks
Day 05: Walk down to Teesta Valley. Cross over hand pulled ropeway and drive to Rinchenpong. Overnight at Yangsum Farm
Day 06: Yangsum Farm. Full day village and monastery exploration walks.
Day 07: Transfer to Bagdogra for departure, or Darjeeling or other parts of Sikkim.
